Several of the Santa Ynez Scholastic Clay Trap Program (SCTP) shooters fared well at the state shoot in Kingsburg on June 16. Shooters from across the state, ranging in age from 6 to 16, competed in the event, during which temperatures reached 106 degrees.

Here are the individual awards for the Santa Ynez shooters:

Rookie division – 2nd place with a score of 85/100: Gillian Wilks

Intermediate Advanced – 1st place with a score of 190/200: Tutt Baker

Junior Varsity – 1st place with a score of 199/200 (100 straight): Justin Mortensen

Junior Varsity – 3rd place with a score of 185/200: Tanner Lockwood

Varsity – 3rd place with a score of 195/200: Wyatt Caldera
