Eric Brian Asselstine passed away Aug. 23, 2012, at the age of 38. A fifth-generation resident of the Santa Ynez Valley, Eric attended College School, Santa Ynez Union High School and the University of North Dakota.
Eric is survived by his mother, Suzanne Asselstine, father David Jamieson, brother Michael Foster (Jennifer), niece Emma and nephews Patrick and Evan, uncle Brian Asselstine (Susan), aunt Sandra Gomez (Michael), cousins Eva, Natalie, Wyatt, Spencer and Brendan, as well as his extended Hanly family. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Robert and Jeanette Asselstine, and paternal grandparents Roger and Betty Jamieson.
Eric will be remembered for his sense of humor and his amazing memory. He was a very talented, caring person, animal lover and a gifted storyteller who could entertain those around him for hours.
A graveside service will be held Friday, Aug. 31, at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Ballard.
