CAPA and the Lompoc Animal Shelter are located at 1501 W. Central Ave. Adoptions can be done from 10 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturdays.
James Dean
8 years M(N) Yorkie blend Tan 7 pounds
James Dean (JD) has an interesting story to tell. He was running loose as a stray and eluding Animal Control for several days, but once he was brought to the Lompoc Animal Shelter and placed in a kennel, he gave a sigh of relief and you could tell he was grateful to have a warm (safe) place to sleep and food for his hungry belly. James Dean is such a love and just melts in your arms when you hold him. JD is a joy for the shelter to care for while he waits for a loving home.
Buddy

After wondering around as a stray, Buddy was brought in to the Lompoc Animal Shelter where he is now safe from cars, predators and disease. Buddy is a handsome English Lab who appears to be good with other dogs and sweet with humans. Buddy isnt ball-obsessive, but he likes squeaky toys. Buddy could be a good dog with children as he isnt jumpy or mouthy. He will make a wonderful companion for an active family that appreciates the exuberance of a young lab. Besides being beautiful, she is super-sweet and purrs with the best of them whenever she gets any form of love and attention! She has a long, luxurious tail that is often wet at the tip because this playful vixen likes to play with her own tail, and then catch it. Too cute! She is cat friendly and we think would be the purrfect fit in any family.
