Catfish are still the best bet here, as kitties to 8 pounds were weighed in at the marina. Mackerel still the bait of choice, followed by nightcrawlers. The best locations have been Johnsons, Clarks and Cachuma Bay. Fish have been holding in 3 to 15 feet in the channels. Bass has been the slow side again, but there have been a few spots of busting fish in various locations around the lake that have provided some good action for those fortunate enough to find them. Vertical jigging has been effective as well, if you can locate an active school. Trout, crappie and carp have all been slow, but look to the end of the month for trout plants to resume.
