Complete with a spooky barn, chilling corn maze and scary stables, the Solvang Festival Theater was transformed into a haunted ranch on Oct. 30-31 with screams and surprises served all around.

The annual Halloween event, which celebrated its 19th year, was run by the Solvang Parks & Recreation department. Volunteers dressed as goblins and ghouls delivered frights to the guided tours through the haunted estate, an attraction that took about 25 minutes to complete. willis@syvjournal.com
