Merry

F(S) • 2 years • Chihuahua • Black/white • 6 pounds

Merry arrived at the county shelter around Christmas as a stray, prompting her name, but it also describes her personality. She is a curious, happy little dog who enjoys people, other dogs and dancing. People need music, but Merry can dance a jig in complete silence. It is a talent to behold. Her curiosity and cheerful attitude make her a good candidate for someone looking for a companion and breakfast buddy at the local dog-friendly restaurant. Ask for a table outside – for two.


Harley

Harlequin is beautiful, friendly and could live with another cat who did not pick on her. She stays busy keeping track of the lizards, birds and gophers. When she is not spotting wildlife, she is an avid napper. Come meet this beautiful tortoiseshell cat. You’ll be glad you did.

Goldie

Goldie was left behind by his owner. Goldie and his brother Tommy eventually found their way to our shelter. Goldie is quiet and a little shy, but with a little time and love he will make a great companion for some lucky soul. Please come and meet Mr. Goldie at the Lompoc Shelter today.

Billy

Billy has to warm up a little but he’s a really good dog and kids love him. They’ve both been around kids and my cat.


Momo

Momo is a 2-year-old male rabbit who needs lots of room to hop and jump. He is a very sweet boy and is currently up for adoption.

Popeye

M(N) • 8 months • Pit bull mix • Black/white • 48 pounds

Popeye has a great personality and is a friendly dog. He walks well on a leash, which is the perfect activity for getting some of his excess energy out. He needs obedience training as well as house-training. He gets along well with most other medium to large dogs but we have not cat tested him yet. Until Popeye learns not to jump on people, it would be best for him not to be around small children. Come in and meet Popeye.

Piper

Meet Piper! This girl is as sweet as she is gorgeous. She’s about 4 years old, super affectionate and ready for a loving permanent home. She’s been terrific with all of the other dogs at the shelter and would probably do well in a home with other dogs. She has had no reaction to the cats either in our office or on the walking trail. Piper is just waiting for your love and attention. Don’t miss out on this fabulous dog.

Paddy

Paddy is the sweetest, most adorable little gal. When she came to SMVHS, she was dirty and her fur was incredibly matted. She has since had a fashionable short haircut and has discovered that she loves wearing cute outfits. Paddy gets along well with other little dogs but like most divas, she would love it if you only had eyes for her.

Darla and Yardley

Darla is an elegant 3-year-old tuxedo. She is very friendly and quite personable. Yardley is an adorable charcoal-colored kitten. He and his brothers are waiting for their forever homes. They are not black.
