With a grand opening set for April 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Curtis Homes, a valley builder-developer, will welcome the public to an open house and barbecue at the Skytt Mesa development featuring horse drawn hayrides of the site, face painting, and a live broadcast from local radio station KRAZ Country (105.9 FM).

Skytt Mesa homes open with barbecue

Curtis has developed the tract at the west end of Solvang with nine models of single story homes of nearly 2,000 square feet to almost 3,400 square feet.  Prices for the homes start in the low $800,000 range.

Located on a bluff overlooking Highway 246 from the north, Skytt Mesa is immediately adjacent to Hans Christian Andersen Park to the east.

The 87 acre site originally was planned for 204 residential units, but was downsized to 169 lots.  The developer also will be building an additional 30 units of affordable senior housing on a suitable site within Solvang.

Skytt Mesa is located two miles east of Highway 101, off Highway 246, north on Skytt Mesa Drive and up the bluff. For more information about the open house and barbecue, telephone (805) 686-5414.
