1600 block of Maple Ave., Solvang

Police received a report that there was graffiti located on the south side wall of an apartment complex. The graffiti is thought to be gang-related.

 

Arrest

Highway 154 and Baseline Avenue, Santa Ynez

A 19-year-old male was arrested for being in possession of alcohol and marijuana after an officer found the man sleeping in his vehicle on the shoulder of the highway. The officer noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle and when he searched the vehicle, he found open and unopened alcohol containers. The man was cited and released.

Missing person found

3400 East Highway 246, Santa Ynez (Chumash Casino)

Police received a report that a 48-year-old male from San Luis Obispo, who had been reported missing by his wife, was found at the casino. After making a phone call to his wife, he immediately left the casino.

Disturbing the peace

1700 block of Odin Way

A 24-year-old male from Solvang was placed under citizen’s arrest for disturbing the peace after police received a report that someone was having a party and playing loud music. The man was cited and released.

Santa Ynez

An 18-year-old male was cited for being in possession of alcohol after an officer pulled him over because his license plate was obstructed. The man said he had forgotten that he had the beer in the trunk, which he said he got from a party he attended. The beer was destroyed and the man was released.

Santa Ynez

A 27-year-old male from Santa Ynez was arrested for having outstanding warrants for his arrest. The arrest was the result of a traffic stop. He was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail.

A 48-year-old male from Santa Ynez was arrested for being drunk in public after police received a report from casino security that the man was being disruptive at the casino. The man was booked into the Lompoc Jail.

Warrant Arrest

Old Mission and Hillside Drives, Solvang

A 22-year-old male from Santa Maria was arrested for having three outstanding warrants for his arrest. The arrest was the result of a traffic stop. He was cited and released. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days.

Old Mission Road and Hillside Drive, Solvang

A 26-year-old female from Santa Maria was cited for driving with a suspended driver’s license and for driving without insurance after an officer pulled her over for not having a front license plate. The woman admitted that she thought her license was suspended for unpaid fines. Her car was impounded for 30 days.

Arrest

1400 block of Aalborg Way, Solvang

A 43-year-old female from Solvang was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol after police received a report that she was covered in a red substance and was sitting in her vehicle on the side of the highway. When the officer arrived he found her to be drunk. The woman admitted to drinking three glasses of wine, but refused to answer any other questions; she failed sobriety tests. Her driver’s license had been suspended, although she was in possession of a temporary driver’s license.
