Rec Queen fundraisers
The 17-year-old is doing her part to help the
organization raise funds for various valley recreational activities, including
sports, arts and summer swimming.
Cota
is a senior at Santa Ynez Valley Union High School and she will be appearing at
many community events and fundraisers that will benefit the organization.
Below is a list of fundraising events taking place from
April 20 through May 23.
Kick
Off Event: April 20
Vets Memorial Hall Legion Wing Cocktails and BBQ Dinner
and Auction will commence at 5 p.m., when cocktails will be served.
Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. A
$8 donation is required. The Solvang Veterans Memorial Building is located at
1745 Mission Drive.
Buellton
Sales Yard: April 25
Come join the recreation queen and the valley community
at the Buellton Sales Yard. Tri-tip dinner will be served at 5p.m. and the
auction will commence at 6:30 p.m. The Tickets for this event cost $8.
Royal
Dinner: May 3
The Santa Ynez Valley Historical Society Museum will host
the Royal Dinner and Wine and Art Auction.
The event begins at 5 p.m., when hors d’oeuvres will be
served, and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. The Santa Ynez Valley Historical

Fashion
Show: May 5
Gainey
Vineyard will host a fashion show and luncheon. Lunch will be served at noon. Tickets for this event is $20. It is recommended that people
make reservations

Golf
Tourney: May 10
The Alisal River Golf Coarse will host a tournament, starting at 1 p.m. Hor d’ oeuvres will be served. The Alisal

Mothers
Day Breakfast: May 11
Santa Ynez Valley Union High School will host its annual
Mother’s Day Breakfast from 8 a.m. until noon. Breakfast will cost $5 per
person. SYVUHS is located at 2975 East Highway 246 in Santa Ynez.
New
Frontiers: May 14
New Frontiers will be donating five prevent of its
proceeds to Santa Ynez Valley Youth Recreation.
Men’s
Club Dinner: May 16
The Men’s Club in Los Alamos will host dinner, cocktails
and an auction at the Los Alamos Men’s Club. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Nojoqui Falls Park BBQ: May 18
The Nojoqui Park will host a
BBQ chicken lunch at noon. There also will be an auction. This even cost $8. Nojoqui Falls Park is located at 3200 Alisal

Final
Event: May 23
The Solvang Veterans Memorial Hall will host a final
event dinner starting at 5 p.m., when cocktails will be served. Dinner will be
served at 5:30, which will be followed by an auction.
