Santa Ynez Valley Union High School’s Music Department brought home honors from the annual Heritage Music Festival in the Bay Area, including a bronze 3rd place for the band in Los Altos and a bronze 2nd place for the choir in Palo Alto. “The competition was a great learning experience, both for me and [for] the students,” said Cameron Clarno, director of the Music Department. On the way to the festival, the band and choir were treated to a tour and workshop at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
