Visitors Association mixer at Foley Vineyard

Foley Estates Vineyard and Winery will be the site of the annual membership mixer for the Santa Ynez Valley Visitors Association on Sept. 3.

The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., at the winery, 6121 East Highway 246, located in the Santa Rita Hills seven miles west of Buellton. Wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres will be served courtesy of the winery. Admission is free to current members, prospective members and their guests.

“All are invited to come to our annual mixer, to learn how about the Santa Ynez Valley Visitors Association, a non-profit organization formed in 2001,” said Laura Kath, who handles marketing and publicity. “The association conducts marketing activities to promote year-round sustainable tourism in the Santa Ynez Valley communities of Ballard, Buellton, Los Alamos, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez and Solvang.”

Association membership benefits include a media relations publicist and an interactive, searchable website attracting an average 14,000 monthly unique visitors; the “E-scapes” quarterly events newsletter; a dynamic volunteer board and staff leadership; the annual 48-page visitors guide with a distribution of 80,000 copies locally; co-op advertising campaigns; travel trade show participation; an annual business expo; plus networking meetings and events. Prospective members are encouraged to join at the event, and current members to renew.
