Solvang Parks and Rec Adult Coed Sports Start Soon - Volleyball League: Games begin the week of October 6th. $275.  Registration closes and all balances are due by September 25th.  Futsal League: Games begin September 20th. $350.  Registration closes and all balances are due by September 14th. Flag Football League: Game will be held on Saturdays at Sunny Fields Park. $265. Fundraising event at Sunny Fields Park from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. A wine social and an Art Walk with community donated art displayed along the pathway. This art will be for sale at the event. Advance purchase tickets for entry to this event will be available from Los Olivos Rotarians and at the Parks and Recreation Department in Solvang. Christian Academy Hosts Annual Dinner/Auction.

 

Sunday, October 4

The Santa Ynez Valley Christian Academy will be holding its 28th Annual Benefit Auction and Dinner on Sunday at the beautiful Roblar Winery in Santa Ynez. The community is invited to enjoy an evening featuring both silent and live auctions as well as dinner. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Dinner at 7 p.m. Live Auction at 7:30 p.m. $45/person. October 5 - November 9

The Wildling Art Museum will be offering “Birds of the Santa Ynez Valley Region,” a six-week course led by wildlife biologist, Dr. Fred Emerson, meets on Monday mornings, 8:30 -10:30 a.m. Limited to 20 students. The first class will meet is at the Museum, 2928 San Marcos Avenue in Los Olivos, and then caravan to a great birding site along the Santa Ynez River. The following five sessions will also be held at different locations in the area. The fee for the course is $100 ($75 for Museum members). The Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise hosts the 38th Annual Old Time Fiddlers’ Convention and Festival. Situated in Goleta on the grounds of the historic Rancho La Patera & Stow House  Family friendly celebration of Old Time American music and more.  Enjoy contests in Old Time fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, band, and song, plus workshops in Old Time fiddle and acoustic blues guitar as well as jam sessions in various musical styles on the grounds all day.
