The Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum will be presenting a weekend quilt show titled “A Show of Contemporary Quilters” on Friday, Oct. 29 through Sunday, Oct. 31.

This show will feature quilts created exclusively by residents of the Santa Ynez Valley.

The Museum is currently looking for local quilters who would like to display their work in the quilt show.

This weekend show is seeking work by quilters who make quilt wall hangings, large and small quilts, baby quilts, doll quilts, artistic quilts, picture quilts, embroidered quilts and seasonal-themed quilts.

Open to all ages, the show is designed to showcase the works of local quilt makers and it will compliment the Museum’s historic quilt exhibit “Quilting Through the Ages” which opens at the Museum on Sept. 26 and runs through Nov. 1.

For further information and requirements about submitting a quilt for inclusion in the “Show of Contemporary Quilters” please contact Karen Harris at 688-8344 or email her at karen.harris.roark@gmail.com.

Entry forms for the quilt show can be obtained at the Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum, Wednesday-Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. or call the Museum at 688-7889.
