Kara comes to the Humane Society exactly 1 year after she arrived at the county shelter as a stray. She learned to be patient by becoming a Zen Master. She loves to be groomed and is tolerant of almost anything including, but not limited to, people, dogs and other cats. Come meet her and let her fill your soul.

Sadie

11 Years • F(S) • Beagle/Queensland Mix

Sadie is a people “person” and is willing to spend day and night by your side. She seems to love everyone she meets. Although she is an older dog, she still has pep in her step and plenty of zest for life. She does not require much exercise, but she adores going for walks. For Sadie, a walk is just good fun, not an aerobic activity. Her previous owners fell on hard times and could no longer care for her. As with so many shelter animals, she is a victim of human circumstance. If you are looking for a dog to lay by your side and worship the ground you walk on, Sadie may be your gal. Sadie is potty trained.

Big Bopper

1.5 Years • M(N) • Dutch Mix • White with Grey

This lovely rabbit is looking for new friends. Bopper is used to humans, and will tolerate other rabbits (female only!). He is active and engaged, and ready to go! Can you provide this energized bunny with a forever home? Stop by the Lompoc shelter to get acquainted with Bopper.

Blue

Blue is a 7-yr-old Quarter Horse mare. She could be very easily bomb proofed. She was started for 15 days a couple of years. She side passes and does other “tricks” from the ground and is very good in new situations. She would walk into a trailer with a carrot and a kiss, please call.

Houdini & Beep

Houdini and Beep, the Parakeet and the Zebra Finch are the odd couple. They were both found half-dead from starvation on a school playground. They are in great health now and must stay together.

Crumpet

Meet Crumpet, another rescue kitty. She was found suffering after losing a hind leg, as well as an ear. After successful trapping, vaccinations, as well as antibiotics, Ms. Crumpet is ready for a new forever home. We guess her age to be 1-2 years. She weighs a mere 6 pounds and must be an indoor only kitty. She is very shy at first, perhaps from losing some of her 9 lives?
