Catfish are providing the most consistent action on all types of baits. Johnsons, Sweetwater, Clarks and the narrows have been the hot spots, though the kitties have been just about everywhere on the lake. Both largemouth and smallmouth bass have been inconsistent at best, with a little top water action early then spoons or jigs later in the day. Crappie have shown up in the mix, though there hasn’t been many people targeting the slabs as of late. Trout fishing is very slow, with no trout reported at the marina last week. Look for plants by late October or early November. There also no reports of carp or bluegill.
