SYV Tech Club Meeting

The Santa Ynez Valley Technology Club is a group of professional men and woman who share the common goal to further their technology careers, to strive for financial independence and to provide a forum of social networking and entrepreneurial endeavors.

Scene in the Valley

At the Tech Club’s last meeting Oct. 16 at the Royal Scandinavian, they did just that. Hors d’oeuvres were served as members mingled. Chris Rose from Impulse Internet was the featured speaker and spoke on the future of communications -- telephony, wireless, and other technologies -- where it all started and where it’s headed.

Tech Club President Debra Dawicki moved to the valley five years ago and has been consulting in the tech field ever since. Among her professional endeavors, she has developed programs to mentor young children in building technology careers and hopes to put the Santa Ynez Valley on the map in the tech world, so it is perceived as an attractive location for technology companies.

Members come from a wide range of backgrounds, some retired, many presidents and CEO’s, others actively pursuing careers as engineers, information technology support personnel and network managers. The Tech Club is open for new membership enrollment. For more information visit www.syvtechclub.org or email debor19071@aol.com.
