New Frontiers to donate

New Frontiers Natural Market will donate 5 percent of its July 16 sales receipts to the Santa Ynez Valley Natural History Society.

On the third Wednesday of each month, New Frontiers Natural Marketplace, located at 1984 Old Mission Drive in Solvang, donates 5 percent of its total sales for the day to a local organization.  Most recently the recipients have been Santa Barbara County 4-H Summer Camp, SYV Youth Recreation, and Wilderness Youth Project.

The natural history society was established in 2000 to provide environmental education to its members and the public. Since that time, it has provided this service through a variety of programs and venues featuring the natural world of the Santa Ynez Valley area. The total number of programs during this short time span is nearing 100, most of them free to the public.  Although the majority of their funding comes from membership dues, they gratefully accept additional contributions from outside sources.

Because New Frontiers’ donation is a percentage of the day’s total sales, shoppers can help raise the donation by planning their shopping trip for Wednesday, July 16.
